Pricing & quotes
How much does painting cost in Adelaide?
Every job is priced after we see the surfaces, the preparation required and the finish you want. As a rough guide:
- Single bedroom repaint: from a few hundred dollars, depending on condition
- Full interior home repaint: depends on rooms, ceilings, trims and preparation
- Exterior repaint: depends on height, access, surface type and preparation
- Commercial painting: quoted after a scope and access review
- Heritage and Venetian plaster: quoted on detail, materials and preparation
You always receive a clear, itemised quote before any work starts.
What affects the price of a painting job?
The biggest factors are surface condition and the preparation needed, the number of coats and colours, the finish level, access and height (ladders vs scaffolding), the paint system chosen, and whether the work is staged or done after hours.
Do you offer free quotes?
Yes — all quotes are free and obligation-free. Send your suburb, property type, scope and a few photos and we will get back to you with a clear, itemised quote.
How do I get an accurate quote quickly?
Include the suburb, property type, what you want painted (interior, exterior, roof, specific rooms), rough sizes and a few photos. The more detail you share, the faster and more accurate our quote.
Do you require a deposit, and how do I pay?
Payment terms are confirmed in your written quote before work begins. We will explain any deposit and the final payment arrangements up front, with no surprises.
Working with GTB
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We operate as a licensed builder, BLD 334337, issued by the Government of South Australia, and we carry appropriate insurance.
What areas of Adelaide do you cover?
We work across Adelaide & Perth and surrounding suburbs, including Burnside, Unley, Norwood, Glenelg, Prospect, Henley Beach and the Adelaide Hills. If you are nearby, just ask.
How long will my project take?
It depends on the size and condition of the property. A single room may take a day or two; a full interior or exterior repaint can take one to two weeks. Your quote includes an estimated timeframe.
What happens on the first visit?
We confirm the scope, check surfaces and access, discuss colours and finish level, and answer your questions. You then receive a detailed quote with clear inclusions and preparation notes.
Preparation & finish
What preparation is included?
Preparation is treated as core work: filling, sanding, masking, protecting floors and furniture, and priming where needed. It is what makes the finish look great and last.
What kind of paint do you use?
We use premium, fit-for-purpose paint systems matched to each surface and environment — the right primer, coating and finish level. We are happy to discuss brands and sheen levels with you.
Can you help me choose colours?
Yes. We can guide colour and finish choices to suit your space, lighting and, for heritage homes, the era of the property.
Will the work be tidy and protected?
Always. We protect floors and furniture, keep the work area clean each day, and finish with a walkthrough before we call the job done.
Services
Do you offer Venetian plaster?
Yes — it is one of our signature finishes. We apply authentic polished lime and marble-dust plaster for marble-look feature walls and bespoke decorative finishes. Learn more about Venetian plaster.
Do you paint exteriors and roofs?
Yes. We repaint exteriors across brick, render, timber and eaves, plus roofs, fences, decks and feature finishes.
Can you work around my business or tenants?
Yes. For commercial and strata work we offer after-hours and staged scheduling, tenant-aware planning and a clean handover to minimise disruption.
Do you work with property managers and bodies corporate?
Yes. We make repeat property work easy with quick quotes from photos, tidy records for approvals and reliable communication. See property manager support.
